2012
changes - Please be aware....
Starting
1/1/2012, due to Oregon OAR changes regarding EMS
levels, Oregon has elected to use the national
designation and tiles of our EMS responder’s levels.
These changes include:
First Responder will now be called an Emergency
Medical Responder,
EMT-Basic will now be called EMT
and the word ‘Basic’ will be dropped,
Advanced EMT, this is a new level being introduced
between EMT and EMT-Intermediate;
EMT-Intermediates will keep their current title,
EMT-Paramedic will now be called Paramedic
and the word/letters EMT will be dropped.
Due
to these changes, several of the patches will need to be
changed. However, the EMS&TS office has not released
plans or descriptions of new patches at this time. The
EMS&TS office has stated that all current patches
are still approved through June 2014.
We
will order new patches as soon as information is
released from the EMS office.
If
you have any difficulty with the ordering application or
question, please contact us directly at: 503-318-0108.
